the only difference between the content of RT or Sputnik compared to wikipedia, cnn, fox news, npr, abc, cbc, bbc, le monde and der speigel is their sources – the former get their propaganda directly from the state whereas the latter gets their propaganda from ngo’s that are transparently funded by the state department of the united states.
this isn’t conjecture – it’s a decades long well documented phenomenon – and calling out one side while not calling the other is the pot calling the kettle black at best and ordinary plain-jane ignorance at the worst.

No, not communists in general, only tankies. The reason is Soviet nostalgia and the nebulous feeling that Russia is anti western imperialism - which is just not true anymore. Russia has the same basic political philosophy as the USA nowadays, which is fascism.

Imperialism is not a political philosophy, it’s a material process. Russia materially undermines western imperialism, which is hegemonic. This isn’t about philosophy, it’s about how the US Empire actually functions, and how Russia’s position as an encircled nationalist country relates to that.

This is not true, and poster never said this or even implied he supports Russia / Putin. You immediately backpedaled and said oh he’s sharing Russian media. That is not support of Putin and that is not him calling Russia communist, that is you and you made that all up.
Also it has become clear that Ukraine does have a Nazi problem… like in the ranks of their official military. Though I don’t support Putin or capitalist Russia as the aggressors in this war Russias army does not openly have Neo Nazis and fascist symbols in their military. However, this does not make them communists. That good enough?
