China's former minister for agriculture has been sentenced to death on corruption charges, with a two-year reprieve, a court statement said.

    On the one hand, accepting bribes worth multiple millions is bad and it potentially destroys lots of other peoples lives.

    On the other hand, nothing is as permanent as death and I feel like it is a bit on the harsh side. Life in prison with a possibility to re educate seems better.
