- More money for the military
- Less money on social programs
- More tax cuts for billionaires
- A tiny tax cut for some of the working class, that expires in 2 years

They would maintain the status quo, and in 3 years open up an inquiry as to whether a committee could be established to contemplate on the possibility of maybe increasing their budgets by 0.00001% over the next 100 years (which can be canceled at any time for no reason)

I’m not going to trust any plan the Democratic leadership (or former leadership) put forth until Bernie Sanders endorses it.

after checking, “paradox of the blue sky” doesn’t seem to be an established term. here’s a short explanation:
a nazi says on a sunny and cloudless day that the sky is blue. because a nazi is always wrong, you contradict it and say that the sky is in fact not blue; even though it clearly is blue. But if a nazi says it, it must clearly be wrong.
I don’t think that’s it. Having a plan for what a party wants to do totally makes sense - and I kind of thought that was kind of the point of party leadership but whatever, not the point.
I think “Project (year)” just has bad vibes, given how absolutely horrific project 2025 is. And I have concern that people would think it’s… a sequel? More of that kind of policy? Rather than opposing it.
This is not the same thing. At all.
Disagreeing with a verifiable fact just because someone you don’t like said the same thing is not remotely equivalent to using a naming convention to come up with someone to call your own plan, which is an arbitrary attribution completely up to you
It’s very good news that plans are being developed!
We need plans because they give us a clear line of action, and also a speed advantage, should we ever get into a position to implement them.

The people who had been running the party and fucking everything up don’t have the power to keep fucking stuff up. So they’re going to present themselves as “outsiders” against the DNC…

They’re not running anything except their own club they just made for themselves. We don’t need to get upset they’re not letting progressives join. They would love if we stopped using the DNC (that they don’t control) and start using the new thing they just created (because they’re in control of it).

I don’t even know how this would work. Project 2025 was an actual plan that discussed how to execute their vision. I don’t like it but I applaud their commitment.
I don’t think the Democratic establishment even has a real vision to even execute. Which means that their “plan” will be vague and non-executable. The exact opposite of what makes the Project 2025 document actually effective.
