Ask Lemmy@lemmy.world•If you could "skill trade", what would you trade?
1·3 hours agoI totally get this, it’s so frustrating when you know there is a geometric, aproachable and intuitive way to get at the subject and your proffessor just throws formulas at his students •π•

On a more practical note. If you have some time to spare, i really would advise you (if you’ve got spare time ofc) to watch videos by 3b1b, the gray cuber, 2swap, lines that connect etc… While you don’t come out with a complete mastery of the subject, you do get a really deep intuition which i can’t seem to get from teachers. + you get to learn that math is trully FUN rather than jusy interesting ;)

2·22 hours agoFunny, while i would never give up my ability to do math for writing, i feel the other way around in regards to which one can be learned and which one can only be “gifted”.
I always was utterly unable to get decent grades in linguistics. No matter how much i tried ;)
You’re in luck, i’ve just added links to get y’all into the topic :)
Sure thing ! I’ll try to seek some links to resources about how chatbot turn words into vectors and about conlangs.
Neat, never heard of loxian. Though it does seem (from very brief research) that there is a lot of redundancy with the six scripts being used…
Thanks ;)
Right ;)
Nothing goes over my head, i have very good reflexes
There’s none left, i can tell you that
It’s like pan fryed polenta cubes but made with couscous and parmesan instead of polenta ;)
Head’s up, it’s out ;)
I was a bit disapointed, it was a little dry and you couldn’t really taste the cheese. On the other hand, the consistency should be perfect to pan fry them and serve them up with some spinach (i’ll post it here this evening if it turns out well)
You might know that already, but there is a huge amount of incredibly aproachable math videos out on youtube which truly give you a firm grasp on a lot of deeper subjects. Notable exemples are 3b1b, 2swap, lines that connect, the gray cuber, zye…
Also, if you want to widen your deck of modeling methods, there is also a wide array of game-dev/coding videos which can give you ideas on how to model 1d->2d 2d->2d and 3d->3d data as well as graphs etc… In order to be able to attack many more problems and questions. Examples here inglude acerola, pezza’s work, sebastian lague, code bullet, inigo quilez…
In general, i feel like there is no proper way to learn math, the proper way is to learn math, no matter how you do it. Sure it’s useful to be able to read equations and all, but you don’t have to go to school for that ;).
I heard some people do it by the sound the squash makes when knocked ( and by whieght also)
No, it’s just grave robbing for now ;)
