The west is in its worst position to provide material support for Israel, so this was as good a time to strike as it would ever be.

I imagine that NATO getting depleted of ammunition in Ukraine factored into Hamas decision to strike at Israel. The west is in its worst position to provide material support for Israel, so this was as good a time to strike as it would ever be.
