I have a feeling that if I could somehow contact everybody and demonstrate to them how Fascism was the inevitable consequence of capitalism, they would be similarly inactive.
Living conditions in the Empire are going to have to get pretty damn awful before revolution becomes a serious possibility.
I agree, and even then, just look at Latin America where in many countries conditions are far worse than in the US for the majority. Yet, we don’t see revolutions happening I’m most of them.
Of course, the US has been suppressing progressive movements there. And I expect the exact same tactics will be applied at home. Movement leaders will be imprisoned or assassinated, protests will be violently suppressed, and so on.
The most likely future for the US is naked fascism.
