I’m looking for places with less censorship so we can have actual discussions instead of only allowing comments that support the trans agenda.
That level of censorship does not help their cause; it actively hinders it because regular people aren’t allowed to have their own beliefs on the matter. Either they succumb to the hysteria, or they’re ousted.
I tried asking this in the other asklemmy community. A lot of people supportive of the trans agenda kept saying to elaborate and that the thread would not be removed.
Well, they were wrong. The thread was censored after all. Looks like even asking about places that allow criticism of transgenderism is not allowed.
Before we know it, transpeople are going to be implementing blasphemy laws 🤣
“Trans agenda”.
You are a bright one.
At least they’re honest with themselves with the username. This is a troll account that’s been making the rounds around various instances trying to stir the pot.
I’m sure we’re all reporting this waste of oxygen to the mods
I can’t imagine waking up every day and choosing such ignorance
I expected this post to be removed in 10 minutes, but I’m glad it wasn’t. I’ve had a pretty shit day and laughing at them has greatly improved my spirits.
That being said though, this goes well beyond ignorance. Bigotry, willful or not, can’t be informed away.
I’m happy to beat it out of bigots
I know that I won’t change their mind. I don’t care about changing their minds
I’ll settle for changing their behaviour
If they’re out in public, and the only thing keeping them from behaving like arseholes is fear, then I’ll settle for their fear
That’s all well and good if we’re talking about things happening at a small town watering hole, but really doesn’t work in the context of online spaces. We’ve already given them exactly what they wanted by posting, attention. There’s a reason the saying is to not feed the troll.
You’re not going to I still fear or change minds under the veil of anonymity. They won’t learn until they face the consequences of their actions and words in real life, whether that’s being excluded from opportunities(but more than likely they’ll double down on their bigotry in this case) or being forcefully disillusioned(like meeting an actual trans person).
I kind of agree. I’m getting victim-complex vibes off this OP, and unfortunately places like this allow them to safely indulge.
Yep,
Anonymity is a double-edged sword
