Every example you’ve given is of a member of a community being against the whole community but in the case we’re discussing, a member of a community is critical of only part of the community, not the whole community. And critically, it’s a part of the community that they’re not a member of.
The “sides” are the LGBT community and those that hate them.
This is wrong. The person who took Northumbria Police to court was a lesbian and hence a member of the LGBT community. It doesn’t make sense for the “sides” to include the LGBT community.
