Consistently much more humid where I am, yeah. Also milder so far, which is nice after last year’s multi-100+ heatwaves. (I’ve probably just jinxed my weather, great.)

I finally got around to watching it (sorry it took so long!). I agree with your review pretty much in full, actually, and second that it’s not for the squeamish lol.
The whole thing was beautifully shot, including the horror bits, and the story was really good at getting you to sympathize with Elvira on her downward spiral, led astray and enabled by the adults.
Alma is the best character, imo, although I would have liked to see her be a more constant voice of reason and/or obvious alternate role model that Elvira is blind to, rather than just the savior at the end.
Re: Agnes: Initially, it sounded like Agnes only wanted to marry the prince so she’d have the money to bury her dad, but then the after-credits shot makes it clear that she never did. So at that point, why not steal anything of value and run off after her stable boy instead (apart from the story needing to match the fairy tale)? I think I agree with you that it must have been for spite, but I found her motivations kinda blurry.
Agreed on the older Bond; under 30 makes me think they’re going for another Bond origins thing, bleh.
I’ve been pro-Matthew Goode in the role for ages. Apparently he wanted to do a grittier Bond, though, which… idk, I’d rather they go back to a slightly lighter/sillier tone.
You might have a look at Darebee workouts/programs. Can search by ‘upper’, ‘abs’, etc to cut out a lot of stuff your foot might have trouble with.
It’s on my watch list, although I’ll probably end up waiting til it’s streaming to see it. Glad to hear it’s good!
( !horrormovies@lemm.ee and/or !horror@lemmy.world might appreciate this post, too.)
Sounds like maybe The Viewing episode from Cabinet of Curiosities?
I would add The Addams Family (1991) and Addams Family Values (1993) to your Funny and Spooky list. I’ll also second the The Fog (1981) suggestion.
Iirc from my time on kbin, posts are for the “microblog” part, i.e. the part that interacts with mastodon.
True, but I think maybe you missed this being about additive and subtractive color mixing.
100% agree; I was so bummed Riddick was just inferior Pitch Black. The animated one, Dark Fury, was fun, though, iirc.
So, I feel like 2, maybe with 3 in certain high-traffic areas, would be a good idea, for a couple reasons:
Could even have 2 shut off in quieter neighborhoods that have no open businesses during the wee hours.
Interesting idea, I’ll have to try it sometime.
Otherwise broccoli stems are not too versatile.
I just throw them into whatever I’m making that uses the florets (peeled and chopped, ofc), and it’s always been fine. Alternatively, try shredding/julienning them (again, peeling first) and throwing them into a fresh batch of coleslaw.
Fanart of artist rendition:
I have the sound of this stuck in my head now, thanks.
I’ll second all of these, especially the lack of scrollbar and “expand text post in feed” button, and the hidden like/dislike buttons. The like/dislike vs upvote/downvote thing is tricky; I don’t have a good solution for it, but maybe different icons that don’t read as up/down would work.
Also, from a quick poke at things:
Overall, though, this is super impressive!
I was gonna nominate the Hellraiser series, but the reboot movie that came out a few years ago was at least watchable.
