If someone asked me what genre of game is Bioshock, I would not directly go to “horror game” the same way I would for, let’s say Outlast. But it clearly has horror elements to it and I got more scared in that game than some others that are classified as such. Even on my second run I had some good jumpscares.

Their albums “The Goat of Mendes”, “Words That Go Unspoken, Deeds That Go Undone” and “Antichrist” are really worth checking out.
CyanideShotInjection@lemmy.worldto Music@lemmy.world•What's the HEAVIEST song you know?English4·2 months agoSuch a tough question because I want to shout out songs across multiple subgenres. Death Grips - No Love, Primus - Frizzle Fry (especially the ending), Quo Vadis - Silence Calls the Storms, Rage Against the Machine - Settle for Nothing, Soundgarden - Jesus Christ Pose, Denzel Curry - Ultra (feat Yung Kane , Nell , Slikk , Rell), Vivaldi’s Summer 3rd Movement and half of the Acid Bath or Ulcerate catalog. If I have to settle for one song though I think I would go for :
Ahab - Old Thunder
However, if I can choose a particular snipet of a song that I think is the heaviest thing I have ever heard period, I would go for Akercocke - Leviathan, between the marks of 3:30 and 4:00. I was legit scared first time I heard that. You gotta listen to it from the beggining though because that build up is insane.
CyanideShotInjection@lemmy.worldto Ask Lemmy@lemmy.world•Do you like the taste of vinegar? Does anyone?1·2 months agoThe reason they are made similarly is basically because it’s a “spoiled” alcoholic fermentation. For instance if you try to make cider and screw up, it transforms into cider vinegar. Rice vinegar comes from sake, etc.
Looks like a Kilkenny

For the record, some of us also use the word “patate” which is straight up the equivalent of potato.

If you are going to exploit those people, at least treat them with dignity before they go in front of the camera. Even Jerry Springer had at least the decency to pay for the flight, the hotel, the limo… before treating his guests like monkeys for his show. Not that it would excuse it, but it would appear a tad more humane.
CyanideShotInjection@lemmy.worldto News@lemmy.world•Las Vegas staff say MrBeast should be blacklisted, cite OSHA, setting medics for failure27·9 months agoThat’s the thing, I totally get why people say he’s a sociopath cause even though he’s fucking rich, he can’t even pay for an hotel room for the participants. I have a feeling their belongings were taken so they would not have to deal with people stealing each other’s stuff, which would have been wayyy less likely if people got their own room. I highly doubt it’s that much cheaper to rent a fucking stadium, buying 2000 sleeping bags, paying for portable toilets, etc. than to rent a whole cheap hotel or motel.
He really wanted those participants to be desperate for that money. “At least if I get to the end, all that crap before will be worth it”. It’s disgusting… He’s not considering those people as humans but as cattle.

When you go on Ticketmaster the price shown is what you will pay. Including the taxes and whatever bullshit fees they want to add. So you know exactly what it is going to cost you. What Cineplex was doing was showing the cost of the ticket (let’s say at 15$ or whatever), but when you go checkout, now the cost is 15$+tx, PLUS the ordering online fees as well. That is what was ruled illegal.

CyanideShotInjection@lemmy.worldto Humor@lemmy.world•Let's call it what it really isEnglish182·9 months agoAnd to had to that, soccer comes from the term Association Football (hence A.F.C. -> Association Football Club) but since it was too long, the British shortened it to Soccer and it was the prefered term going back as far as the late 19th century. Refering to it as football regained popularity in the UK during the 1960s. As for Gridiron Football, the first part of the name was dropped long ago as at the time all football sports were simply called “football” in North America (this includes Rugby).
And yes this joke is sooo tired, my first reaction was “oh we’re going back to making those lame repeated memes that made me quit 9gag 10 years ago”

Do they realy think that everyone working for the meat industry are all treated fairly ? All those fields of corn/soy that are used to feed the livestock, guess what, they also need workers.
Also, this is indeed not even an unpopular opinion. Vegans/vegetarians are all around some of the most hated groups of individuals. Source : https://journals.sagepub.com/doi/abs/10.1177/1368430215618253
