They are planning to eliminate all feed-in compensation while also letting the grid providers (all well-connected or subsidiaries of fossil-fuel heavy power companies) freely decide if capacities of the grid are sufficient to connect renewables, but of course with zero incentive to improve capacities. So in short: nobody will lend you money for your private renewable project anymore as no matter your business plan a third party benefiting from your failure has total control over just cutting you off from the neccessary infrastructure.

In fact the ex-CEO of the grid provider with the most impressive track record of burying needed battery storage projects in red tape for years and years, was rewarded for this with a job as Minister of Economy and Energy and is busy rewrting the laws to cement Germany’s fossil fuel dependence for decades to come (for example: they changed the planning rules regarding energy security requirements with totally made-up bullshit numbers, so nothing but gas-peakers are sufficient as “storage”).
But now the moronic populists under Merz are in control. Getting rid of him was basically the best thing Merkel ever did. And so they now happily fight against renewables, every other progress and even the population, while parroting far-right culture war bullshit as a diversion. All to make their billionaire and industry donors richer at the expense of workers, climate and future in general and with the “minor” side effect of pushing the far right, whose lies copy freely, to being the biggest party now. And that’s probably not even seen as a problem by that corrupt pack as they can soon declare that a cooperation with these literal fascists is the only way to get a working government and obviously wanted by the voters.
