Wasting people’s time with these (and potentially sense of hope as well) absolutely should be criminal.
now the notice? its beeing a thing for like 10 years since i started searching jobs in my field, most people couldnt get thier foot in the door.
The vast majority of American politicians are notoriously out of touch with and unresponsive to the population at large*. A decade is a FAST turnaround for them to do anything about a huge systemic problem that primarily hurts workers rather than the ultra-rich and their corporations.
*unless it’s about bigotry and other aspects of jingoism. In those cases, they’re often AHEAD of the population by inventing the issues themselves
They get paid not to notice but the last check bounced I guess
Needs to have fines starting at 200% of the advertised max annual salary plus interest, rising to 1000% based on willfulness or repeated offenses. That will help send a message
