and i know 2 people before and early never found a cs related job. think they are doing something adjacent. i also looked at pots from other forums, platforms same issue no jobs. i know someone who graduated recently try to be a game dev, no jobs there too.
once it end, i see them hiring outsourced workers instead mostly. and keeping a few senior level ones to prevent everything from collapsing. it wont be like the boom during 2014-2020 hiring spree. this will bring it in line with alot of stems that hiring mostly h1-b visa holders, or outsourced.
the only other major worst than CS, in terms of underemployment. a masters or PHD in physics. same goes with psych(most people likely arnt willing to go to a masters, or thier academics have ben screwed by the course difficulties.
i wouldnt say all college degrees are useless, some need extra college, certification, or training to be useful(colleges dont like to inform students about jobs in general). i do agree with cybersecurity, CS, is very limited if not difficult to get a job.
cybersecurity is suffering just as much, i dont think they are hiring that many to begin with, IT is too. engineering(physical) took a massive hit during covid. also layoffs has worsened these industries in general.
