This is most likely a communal bath common in many asian countries. I agree on the photo op though, this looks too meticulous. And they forgot to take of the stickers of those little stools, that makes it seems even less used.
Nothing says North Korean prosperity like an unused 1975 bathhouse in 2025.
Looks like a hot spring or bath house, but half the stools have their product sticker left on, that never appears to have gotten wet.
These bath houses are the best. I go every now and then here in Japan.
I’m sorry, am I misinterpreting this like crazy or are you supposed to shit in those larger, paler bowls? Because they don’t look big or stable enough to sit on, and I’m not sure if my instincts are way off or not.
