Mike Smith, the actor famous for playing Bubbles on Trailer Park Boys, has been charged with sexual assault.
According to court documents filed in Nova Scotia provincial court, Smith was charged on Oct. 2 in Halifax in relation to an alleged assault that occurred on Dec. 30, 2017 in Dartmouth, N.S.
According to a statement from Trailer Park Boys Inc., Smith has “stepped away” from his role as managing director of the company.

Nope, because then you are hurting people who weren’t involved.
As a fan of several shows, Graham Linehan was involved with, I don’t stop watching them just because he was involved with them. I still really enjoy them and the cast’s interactions and want to support them. The cast weren’t involved or enabling his behavior. He’s generally and rightfully a pariah and persona non grata in his home country and field. As he should be.
As long as the rest of the boys didn’t enable, ignore, or perpetuate his behavior. No reason to punish them as well. Or any of the others that worked on the show and might live off residuals. It might change your feelings of the character in old episodes. And if you don’t want to deal with it. You feel what you feel. And that’s not wrong. But the show is a group effort, more than a single person.
I remember Linehan blaming the LGBTQ+ community (in more onerous words) for his wife leaving him.
