Say the ideas in this article happen, what is the average person to do with their meager savings to avoid them loosing value?
Spend it. You could buy gold or crypto, but it will always be a gamble. If money has no value, neither does debt, and posessions can be traded.
Considering a massive loan(student if needed) if JPow gets fire. Inflation should out pace interest if timed right.
Buy property if you can. Take out massive loans because inflation will catch up to it anyway.
This has been on my mind. I’m almost tempted to buy yen.
So, this person is saying that the Fed has been so politicized that it’s going to start ping-ponging across the aisle and that our own financial policy will become so unstable that the US dollar won’t be a safe bet. I can see it.
That means the American institution that is left in control of the dollar’s fate by keeping spending (and thus the debt) under control is…. Congress.
This irritates me. That is their job. The Fed is supposed to be an “oh shit” backup. Congress exists to spend into our economy.
