It’s more likely demand and supply - if specific skills are in demand, and not many people have them, then pay will increase. And at the highest levels it’s often not what you know, but who you know that matters.

If an organisation loses its tax-exempt status, it will have to pay tax. This would definitely be bad news for the organisation. But how does it ‘kill any nonprofit’s ability to function’? Reduced expenditure on constructing and maintaining parking lots. Include the costs of security / cameras.

Employees can start working while on the bus (reading mails, catching up with co-workers, etc.).

PR department can highlight this as a new green policy. They might even be able to convince the local government to bear a part of the costs, or give some other monetary reward.
