Man how the hell are we supposed to degoogle so fast. I literally only became aware that they sucked like 2 years after them being cool for most of my life. Getting rid of gmail is going to be tough. There literally isn’t a service the equal of YouTube or Gmail.

I suggest you read some Marxist literature. Marxism has become a bad word in the West because it undermines exploitation under capitalism. But everything Marx and Lenin espoused was based on improving the rights of individuals (you could make a convincing argument that the structure of the Soviet Union was incapable of accomplishing that goal, but that it got closer than anything American capitalism has been able to).

My personal rec is State and Revolution by Lenin. It’s short and easy to read.

I haven’t treated CNN in years but I’m going to trust them even less now.

Maybe I don’t think post scarcity is necessary for ending capitalism, but carbon neutral sounds good to me.

I think we need to address climate change and capitalism first. But once that’s done, I think space exploration would be sweet.

That’s true but I feel like I am putting money in Jeff Bezos pocket(tho I suppose you could make the argument that all credit cards and banks put money in the pockets of unsavory billionaires) by having it. I just don’t believe it’s good to support Amazon.

I’m 37m now. I was with my first gf from age 18 to 24. I was a wreck for years. I didn’t go on a date for at least a year. I didn’t have sex for 2 years. I didn’t get into another relationship for 5 years.

We had kinda been circling the drain for a while, so it shouldn’t have been a surprise at the time, but I didn’t know any world without her and I was scared to end it.

Looking back, it was one of the best things that ever happened to me, but in the moment it was awful. I was a depressed wreck for years.
