You have zero plaque when you go to the dentist?

I do clean my teeth two times a day, and floss regularly. That doesn’t totally stop the plaque from building up though. Everybody’s biology is a bit different
I get a cleaning every 4 months but my insurance only covers every 6 months, so I pay for one out of pocket. I go to a very good dentist, and they only charge $170 for a cleaning

40·1 month agoThe last No Kings protest in Austin saw State Troopers deployed everywhere and lots of social media threats from State leadership, but it just turned out to be a massive peaceful protest.

301·9 months agoYou’re right, “food influencers” and the “Manosphere” at large have been spouting nonsense about plant oils for a long time. That realm is rife with pseudoscience from people who think you don’t eat enough meat and that eating vegetables makes you weak. They try to sell strength to people by speaking confidently about being strong while also making shit up and lying about it.

61·2 years agoThe superdelegate system that caused very real controversy in 2016 was changed after that. Superdelegates no longer get to vote in the first round, so they only influence the outcome if there’s a contested convention. I believe they also decreased how many superdelegates there are

4·2 years agoThe right has started to eat itself alive. Only the most “ideologically pure” remain, and ideological purity in MAGA terms means not trusting anything except whatever they make up in the moment, which leads them to not trust each other. This is making it really difficult for them to agree on much of anything, which is why they have no political platform and do nothing except obstruct

World News@lemmy.ml•Iran tells US to ‘step aside’ as it readies response to Israel over Syria strike
56·2 years agoYou’ll notice only the last seven words are actually a quote. Almost certainly this is a mashup of expressing concern that Iran will attack Israel and a statement that US intelligence thinks Iran would choose military targets.

That sounds great for you. I switched to 3/year last year after trying everything else to reduce the amount of plaque developing between visits without success. I don’t get why you feel the need to shit on someone for that
