123·16 days agoYouTube premium is ad free, and cheaper than most streaming services. I personally do the 22.99 family plan. I get 3 other logins i can give to anyone to use it as well and they don’t have to be in my household.
I personally use it for YouTube music on my car. Works perfectly with no ads and it autoplays when i get inside.

politics @lemmy.world•White House turns down Elon Musk’s offer to pay TSA workers during DHS shutdownEnglish
16·16 days agoIf you took a billion dollars from a billionaire, and gave it to everyone, we would all get $3 dollars.
Now do that a thousand times. We would all 3k each. But who would pay for it your ask? Since billionaire have stocks and assets and not cash we would need to sell everything. Who would buy it? China maybe? So we give china tesla, Amazon, all the boats and mansions, and we get 3k.
I don’t think this is a good idea. It’s short term influx of cash, but long term we work for china now.

Not The Onion@lemmy.world•An AI School, With No Teachers, To Open in Chicago This FallEnglish
215·16 days agoNo, the end part was my own opinion. I do believe classrooms that embrace AI will outperform tradition learning classrooms by a mile.
Already yes the study is limited, AI learning is very new. Want me to pull out of study from 20 years ago with decades of proven data?
It’s actually the fault of the debt, and out inability to borrow like we used to. Before we had so much capital we could spend on that things, but now we have so much debt those days are over.
Not saying we sold go back to that system of borrowing and lending debt, because we would have the same outcome, but we sold all understand the America was if life was funded by debt.
Now only speculative income jobs like AI learning, data centers, and actually productive gdp jobs life construction, lineman, ect earn money because we don’t have debt to pay for non productive jobs like we used to.
Is only going to get worse btw, and it’s specially going to get real bad for female dominated field as they are the highest risk of being replaced by AI or cut due to budget shortfalls.

813·16 days agoYou’re right, they will have “guides” instead of teachers. This might be to far, but we won’t know until they try it. A mix of human and AI teachers would probably be best.

You can uninstall it, or disable the startup. They aren’t getting rid of that ability.
