How is he nailing the bones? They’re all long bones at right angles with only one point of contact on the upper structure. This is clearly a job for different attachment technology.

81·5 days agoOur rural roads here in Japan are 60 at most, with most being 40 or 50. I don’t think I’d feel safe going a whole lot faster than that. Certain divided, multi-lane roads can get up to 80, but those are different to what I’m thinking of going to actual individual houses.

The, er, spicy kind? I am really confused as to what this means.

3·10 days agoOver a decade in Japan and I still struggle with natto and never order it. I got over the smell. I don’t really care for the slimy/string texture of things, but I can eat other things. If I try to eat more than one or two beans at a time, I involuntarily gag. Some flavor component of it kills me. I make my own ferments (Korean-inspired daikon with fish sauce, chili, and some other stuff is the most recent, fermented at room temp for a few days then into the fridge) and have no trouble with them.

1·10 days agoSame. I tried it once as a kid and hated it. PB sandwich? Delicious. Toast with jam? Awesome. Put the two together? Nope. I think it was probably a texture issue, but I have no desire to try again now in my 40s.

2·10 days agoThat looks amazing. I’d like some chili and maybe some onion or something (and probably plantain rather than banana), but I’d definitely eat this if someone put it in front of me.

1·10 days agothey found the cabinet had been left unlocked and the driver was missing.
Man, up here in Tohoku our cabinets don’t have drivers; I’m jealous. (I get it; I still type ‘server’ or ‘user’ instead of ‘serve’ and ‘use’ way too often).
I was expecting a drunken night out, but this is certainly more suspicious.

4·13 days agoI accidentally poured tapwater over my coffee in my french press this morning (I apparently forgot to hit the button on the kettle to heat the water and definitely failed to check). It was alright, if weak, impromptu cold-brew. Hope your power comes back soon!

I don’t like either. Blue cheese itself is rather hit-or-miss for me (I think I may also be mildly allergic). The ingredients that go into ranch I mostly like. I think it boils down to not liking US mayo; I thought I hated all mayo until I had Japanese.
