It was always against the rules to do that. Nothing changed, except (from what I heard, I don’t use Reddit anymore so correct me if I’m wrong) mods stopped enforcing the rule with regards to Musk, Musk put the spotlight on it, and Reddit (a shitty corporation trying desperately to be profitable) couldn’t really do anything but enforce the rule.
It is true that Huffman is an asshole and probably likes the guy, but if it was some other public figure I don’t think the outcome would be different.
I guess it could allow multiple funding models. Instance A is ad supported, instance B is a paid service. Not exciting for us self hosters, but there is possibility there.
Mine did come, and it sucked.
None worth pursuing
Ghost has been working on adding activitypub support. They just added the ability to “unfollow” in their work in progress implementation, for example.
I have this one and of is surprisingly good for the money. I also have a keychron recommended by many others, and can also vouch for that.
This has started happening often while playing games remotely for me, which in some cases fad made it impossible.

I think it’s because it’s work. Its hard to have any positive feelings toward a tool used primarily to talk to annoying coworkers and bosses. It doesn’t matter how good it bad it is.
It is, I should have known better. I thought I was posting in a different community where that would be more obvious.
Geeze, so much for the tolerant left!
Not one, but two references to e621 in this thread. And neither are from users on the furry instances. Much to think about.

I think it would be considered non-productive labor in the Marxist sense.
These people can’t stop shadowboxing with people who supposedly withheld their votes. It’s weird. How many people who otherwise would have voted for Kamala stayed home because of their ongoing support of the genocide in Gaza? Do we even know? And if it was the decisive issue causing the Democratic defeat, what is the political lesson learned?
I can’t help but feel this understandable anger is completely misdirected. Or, maybe they support what is going on in Gaza and they’re annoyed that a critical part of their voting coalition felt otherwise?
