2·3 years agoThis news broke a few days ago and promptly received broad bipartisan backlash. It doesn’t seem clear if this buyout will be tolerated on national security grounds.
Politics aside, as someone who defaulted on student loans years ago, don’t do that. It is a decision that will follow you for a ridiculously long time with little recourse.
