Only after watching Fear and Loathing…
Yep, I have a ‘random shit’ drawer too
I was so hoping that was toasty the toaster! Waffles? How about a bagel?
I think you’re missing the point of such distruptive protesting. It’s a reflection of the seriousness of the situation and the lack of progress through more respectful and peaceful means that has lead to this point. They impose themselves on the average person-in-the-street to push the message harder. Yes people don’t like it, but that’s half the point as it gets the attention required. It’s not meant to be nice, it’s not meant to be pretty. Making people angry at the inconvenience is also part of the point as so many people are ignoring the issue in favour of maintaining the comfortable status quo. And it’s this comfortable status quo that is at threat, but people don’t see it or want to admit it. Getting people on side is only any good if they’re sufficiently riled up, so I don’t think they’re really losing anyone through these tactics.
Pot kettle black. Also a monstrous gobshite. He was bad enough just as an annoying business owner, now we have to put up with so much more.
Welcome to politics, there’s all sorts going on that we know nothing about that will influence who says what about whom, when and why. Hypocrisy is irrelevant to these people. He’s just influencing.
Today/the last week, I have been mostly listening to Instant Rewards by Tides from Nebula, along side their previous album From Voodoo to Zen.
Probably not, there’s plenty of people who mostly just listen to the radio and don’t own much music. Sounds much the same. If it doesn’t work for you then it doesn’t work for you!
It’s an awesome opening to the album, “oooaaaahhh POWERRRNERRD!”, classic Devin!
So many bands I’d love to see! But that’s somewhat small fry, so to speak, so ancient history, if I could travel to a different location also instantaneously (guess that’dhave to be possible or else it’dbe pretty boring or hard work!). Ancient Egypt, Greece, Central America Mayans… but then, are WE immune from consequences also?! Free from contracting diseases, free from being sacrficed to a god or getting enslaved?! Can we communicate with them?! Dinosaurs would also be awesome, if immunity was guaranteed…chomp!
Or perhaps just see my dad again :)
Why would bringing back photos have consequences? It’s not like it’ll suddenly make them become extinct! I assume the OP means consequences on the past not future of course! :)
Nice reply, btw. I thought it looked impressive at first, especially with the lack of motion blur but noticed the short depth of field which got me thinking a bit, but it stilled looked impressive. Your link is less sharp/more grainy so maybe the OP’s image could be digitally enhanced? which would explain some of the quality.
Vegetable stir-fry, curry or similar should be easily do-able. There’s plenty of fresh veg that will keep long enough out of a fridge or canned asian veg is decent. Tomato or pesto pasta. Stew made with canned beef isn’t bad. Omlette.
Do you have a cool bag/box? Grab a bag of ice and you have a fridge for a few days. Even a plastic box would do the trick.
Alas I can’t find any news reports in the UK stating hundreds of thousands, that’s a really significant number of people for the UK, rather tens of thousands. Last year saw 300,000 pro Palestine protesters head to London, but it appears to be an over-‘estimation’ for this protest. Great to see people still going out in the UK though.
Paper chains around the room!
I spend too much time at my pc or driving so get lower back pain. I recently found this workout that’s really good. It’s challenging but really works well! I sometimes have to ease back a little, especially on the last part, but it still helps.
Apologies, I can’t remember how/where to get alternative YT links.
Thanks for clarifying. My point was not to ilicit sympathy, any such violence is ahorant and the perpetrator must take responsibility, ultimately, but rather to illicit empathy. To understand how and why people end up in such a place then creates the starting point to find solutions, or at least, minimise how frequently they may occur within a population in the future.
As such, I’m inclined to think that in at least some of the cases where the individual commits suicide once the police turn up, they have reached a total breaking point, so to speak, and the last option they can see has gone so suicide is sll that’s left.
This to me doesn’t suggest a ‘bad’ person, more so someone who has found themselves in a terrible place, particularly in cases where that’s no fault of their own, and are wndingvup doing something bad. Being ‘bad’ to me is closer to gansta/mobster mentality - e.g. killing people is fine, so long as its not us, and i cant imagine any mass shooter being someone like that. There are a myriad of variables of course, and this may only apply to some of the people painted as ‘bad’ in this infografic.
Unless thay weren’t actually ‘bad’ people, rather they found themselves having to use a gun as the only option left to them. One notable bit of info missing is why these people had a gun and why were they using it?
I cannot understate how insulted he’d be to hear that! Not least because he’s infinitely more intelligent than 2000 of those two!
