Happy Holidays to everyone. May the next few weeks be quiet.

This is spot on. And honestly, public service workers make so little compared to industry, it really doesn’t matter if they’re from a wealthy family or not - if they (public workers) have student loans, the forgiveness is deserved.
10 years can be difficult to get. I’ve known people who work for non-profits for 5 years or more, only to be let go because grant money was drying up.
Yooooooo! I love that. I’ll admit, if Subaru releases a “Baja” like car again, I’d be the first one to buy it.
Thanks for sharing!
100% with this.
I am all for more EV options, especially if it’s a compact car. But nobody cares about reveals. Just release them.
I’ve been waiting a very long time. I told myself the next car I buy will be an EV. Well, my 10 year old car finally cost die to repair than it’s worth.
My preferred car brand is quickly being killed off by Toyota (Subaru), and they have an absolute dogshit EV. I bought an EV, and I’m very happy with it. But the experience is not great. I will never buy a Tesla, and the other brands don’t have anything that makes me excited. I would be very excited about a Honda EV.
And it reads like chatGPT generated text.
Wool socks are superior though.
And you can always stuff hand warmers in the socks if you’re desperate for warmth. Just don’t burn your feet.
This is one of the reasons I donate to The Satanic Temple. I really hope they pursue something like needing to display all religious texts in classrooms like their tenets.
I grew up Lutheran, which is basically the closest to being catholic without being catholic.
I had a great Sunday school teacher who let us question religion and all the stupid things in it.
As I get older, I feel more like an atheist. Church has become nut bags, and I don’t want to waste my time being lectured when I already live a good life.
I follow some pagan celebrations. I also donate to The Satanic Temple.
It does make sense. China can monitor the account for intel to squash any non-desirable gatherings.
Agreed! It blocks ads and malware while costing advertisers a ton. I’d love to see this go more mainstream and see all the panic by costing advertisers money without having people buy anything.
Schedule slips of capability installs, and fighting fake status updates. Oh joy! Nothing like having a vendor report that something is working and delivered and it’s completely missing. But somehow, it meets requirements, so contractually, they’re good.
Funding was cut by 20%. So I have to figure out what the team can’t get to.
Super fun. Also, I’ll probably start looking for something else. This stress is not worth it.
Sorry to hear about Linus. Kitties are very good at hiding their illness. May all your days with Linus be the best days ❤️. And hopefully there are many days left to enjoy.

When the people are disappeared for showing the slightest discontent to their government, it’s no surprise anything you read in the news wouldn’t be trustworthy.
I doubt that this survey method would show a true result too.
It is not safe for women to exist in India. I saw other articles about a girl raped repeatedly by her brother and is now pregnant. With a quote I’ll paraphrase that said women used to only worry about men when going outside the house and this is no longer the case.
Totally. And we can’t do anything to improve the situation until there’s laws or regulations passed.
It’s a feature not a bug. Women are meant to suffer and die with these policies.
Personal project: trying to get OP-TEE to work on a rpi3. Seems like there’s some known issues in my way of success. It’s annoying. But once it’s working, I’ve got some experiments I’d like to try out.
Feeling very alone, lots of sting emotions this week. But I’m slowly turning it around and getting things completed. Rough week, and trying to stay kind to myself. I haven’t gone to the gym or been outside, and eating junk. Hard habits to break when I get into a funk.
I’d argue Alex Jones is completely different in the eyes of the law. His Sandy Hook case and subsequent bankruptcy are very different than the fines levied against tech companies. Which is why there’s a huge difference. In general, crimes that done physically hurt people have less consequences. And that should change. Fining these companies a significant amount, so that they can no longer be considered a line item on the budget would be a good start. There definitely needs to be a change. But I’m no expert to truly evaluate what changes would be effective.
