The decision was 8-2. There are 13 judges, so 3 abstained. 5 were nominated by Trump. 2+3=5. Hard to believe that is a coincidence.
I also think that the people who actually write the laws make them as hard to read and understand as possible so legislators have to rely on what they are told is in them.
Another one of those worthless do-nothing resolutions. They probably didn’t even read beyond the title.
Looks like I misremembered. It was popularized following the assassination of Tsar Alexander II.

There were a LOT of pogroms during the Russian Civil War, like 1,500 just from 1918-1920.

Which was mostly done by the British, French, Spanish, Dutch, and Russians (Alaska) before the US became a country. Yes, the genocide of the Native Americans was an atrocity, but 90% of it happened within 100 years after Columbus arrived. Even so there was no 5 year period in the US to be that came close to as many deaths as the the years of the Russian Civil War.
It’s like Trump broke all the ten commandments and now he’s trying to break all the Amendments.
I don’t think that’s being disputed.
Tell that to the other people arguing with me. You’re right about the rest though.
A 20 second skim and a link to Wikipedia is all it takes to prove something so obviously false. What part did I get wrong?
Nothing comparably horrendous to the Russian Civil War has happened in the US.
It was coined before the civil war, but it spread as a term used outside of Russia because of the civil war.
I hope you have half as much hate for fascists as you do for libs.
I don’t have the time nor the crayons to simplify the Russian Civil War so you would understand it. Asking for a citation that you could easily do a basic web search for is at best lazy and at worst sealioning.
My point is that saying Russia is a “Land of Peace” compared to the US is not historically accurate in the least.
I think the government has learned a lot about suppression of protests in the last 20 years.
Find (or create) an excuse to call the protest violent, apply less-than-lethal weapons liberally, and subvert the message of the protest to turn the public against it.
asking for citations for one of the most important and well known events of the 20th century is lazy and obnoxious.
“Pogrom” was coined in Russia and became well known largely because of the Russian Civil War.
don’t bitch about my comments when you have put absolutely no effort into yours.
If that’s what you call a “Land of Peace”, I don’t think your opinion is worth much.
The capitalists in Russia aren’t exactly sitting on their hands either. I’m on team “Fuck the Capitalists” no matter where they come from
If they know where to get coke, they know where to get other stuff
