I’m wondering if a false DMCA notice is a form of slander/libel?
It could be considered a lot of things if there were lawyers willing to test out new legal theories to stop them, however as far as I am aware, nobody has really tried.

This has to be a joke. They can’t be that stupid.
From what I know there are a lot of fraudulent “companies” that are sending false DMCAs to anyone and everyone on YouTube (the channel deephumor is documenting them). They’re copyright claiming on behalf of people they aren’t even authorised to act on behalf on. They copyright claim people just talking about anime, no clips from animes, just talking. Whether they’re actually authorised by Viz media or not, who knows. There’s this Remove your Media, there’s also another called The Media Entertainment or something just claiming stuff as their own to silence critics. YouTube just allows them all since it’s just run by bots now.
Most likely it is just automated and matching text, which should be illegal.
Well it should be, because when you file a dmca takedown request, you have to state under penalty of perjury that your complaint is accurate to the best of your knowledge and that you are the copyright holder or authorised by the copyright holder.
Start fining companies a percentage of their yearly revenue and don’t let them pay it over 5-10 years like they recently did for Meta.

I found before that the company that does this apparently is just one person with an AI agent, because they (“Remove Your Media LLC”) give a street direction but there’s… Only a Walmart.
Maybe they work out of the Walmart? Times are tough. Maybe they work the register as their agent works your register (see what I did there? ᶦ‘ˡˡ ˡᵉᵃᵛᵉ).
They’re manga CEO’s. Their apps have more trackers than Facebook, and expect people to pay for access. They really are that fucking stupid

Yes, a default ruling. Would the judge side with the party that showed up, even if it is clear that it is non-sense.

Are we allowed to see Biz Media’s actual DMCA takedown or are those things typically not shared?
The notice at the bottom is the one sent by them, and people that recieve them are allowed to share them publically.
