Reddit has a long tail of small communities you really can’t find elsewhere. Some of the ones I frequent tried to move to Lemmy but it really didn’t work out. Ended up moving to Discord, which is far worse than Reddit.
Yeah small nieche sub’s are really what made reddit for me, I used a bot to mirror posts onto here and it slowly grows the community. I think bridging is as often the best way to transfer the masses
The only thing I’ll kinda miss is the sub for my sports team because it’s a good aggregation of news and people with insight and information comment there.
…but at the same time I won’t miss it because of the endless homering and doom n gloom anytime anytime happens
