Surely a first? Next post says the Greens have the leadership but I don’t know the overall make-up of the council.
Also, should be mentioned that they did this to keep Reform from running the council, which I think is basically a good thing.
We’re probably going to be seeing a lot more of this, just look at Birmingham City Council.
I’m all for the republican front on this: work with anyone against Reform/Restore.
I’d be against working with the Tories nationally, but Reform are so nakedly corrupt and incompetent on the local level that I’m not against coalition building locally.
If the choice was Reform in government or work with the Tories, I’d take the latter. Of course, if the Tories refused, that would mean they’re essentially backing Reform, in which case: fuck them.
