Comments
- Got a bit slow in the middle but picked up later on.
- The version on Fawesome is unbelievably overcropped, meaning close shots show you practically nothing. I think it was cropped from cinema widescreen to 4:3 for TV/VHS, then cropped again to make a “widescreen” version again. Compare to the trailer for the restored version
- Music & dubbing often fun. The accents of the monks! OMG
- If you like seeing nuns get shot, this is your jam! Strawberry jam! (Inside joke for those who’ve seen the film.)(Admittedly, 95% of the shot “nuns” are actually gangsters in disguise.)
- Cleo uses explodey arrows to blow up a chopper years before Rambo!
- Started a franchise, the 3rd film Pay & Die a.k.a. The Devil’s Three is on Youtube. (I haven’t found a legit free source for the 2nd film, Dynamite Johnson.)
- Singapore news CNA even made a documentary on their local hero: Who Is Cleopatra Wong? Hunting Down Singapore’s 70s International Action Movie Star

What’s her name again?

This is typical of what the exciting closeups look like in a supercropped version. Half a face over here, half a head over there, and a load of background in the middle. (That’s supposed to be an intense fight, btw.)

Loads of barrels! But still fewer than the Equalizer 2000

For comparison, here’s a shot from the trailer for the restored version

Cleo about uses explodey arrows (triple!) on the baddie’s chopper
