These threads used to be really useful back on Reddit.
I’m currently finishing off full app translations for the next release along with lots of the usual bug fixes.
What should I prioritise next?
Cheers, Lj
Fixing the bug where instances can’t be loaded please!
Client-site “multicommunities” would be nice. A way for me to group multiple communities into a single feed like multireddits.
Oh this, like God mode 😜
Even better if this could be a lemmy feature I think, but client-side would be good too
Shouldn’t this combination of settings result in a red preview? Or no preview? Currently it still shows a blurred preview.Red was removed and replaced with just the blur.
The blur doesn’t really hide much sometimes.
Bad in public lol?
fairly minor thing, but can you detect from sync whether a home instance allows downvotes? mine does not, but sync still displays the unusable downvote button on everything
Is it not possible to add upvotes history?
For us perverts it would be great if the Redgifs audio issue was fixed.
It also prevents sharing the actual redgifs link easily cause you need to open it in the browser and then share the link. Otherwise it shares the API link.
It did work as intended on Sync for Reddit.
Was this fixed? I’m using the Summit app on Android, and it’s a hit or miss when it comes to playing the Redgifs audio in the app. It shows up sometimes and other times it doesn’t, even if the audio exists on the Redgifs website.
If Sync works then I’d be happy to switch
A few features I would love to see:
-
A way to view groups of multiple communities in a single feed. Like a multicommunity. A workaround right now is to have multiple accounts, which is less than ideal.
-
A way to view content from multiple accounts in a single feed. Like a universal feed.
-
An easier way to have the same settings apply to multiple accounts.
-
A way to block instances or communities.
Regarding #3: a way to copy/synchronize subscriptions between accounts.
I use a main account and a backup account on another instance in case the main instance is down, so I want those to have the same subscriptions. Manually synching them would be fine (maybe with options like copy everything, mirror the subscriptions, make sure B does not contain the same as A, etc.).
You can filter instances and communities. For clarity, you mean blocking all users from those instances from your feed/comments? Do you also mean blocking all users from a community from showing up? If so that seems harder.

I’d love these things:
- Be able to mark text and wrap with `…`, back ticks, for code formatting.
- Mark comment replies as unread.
If no content found on default sort, automatically fail over to a second sort selected by the user.
I.e add a toggle that allows “if default is top 12hrs but no content found, load content from new.”

Rename other users or hide certain characters. Im sick of people using emojis in their names but I don’t necessarily want to block them.
User mentions doesn’t appear to be working for me.
Someone mentioned me a couple of days ago and it never came through. Could it be an instance thing?
2 old features I liked from the reddit version. Probably going to be quite low priority versus some other things, but they’re the missing things I’m noticing most.
-
The little “next / previous comment” arrows. Worked very well for skipping comment chains when you’re already a bit into them.
-
The little “+#” count next to the total comments to show how many new comments have popped up in a post. Combined with the unread comment dot it made keeping track of new comments on a thread I liked nice.

A setting to hide posts that I have voted on. I miss this from Reddit.
Full immersive mode for non Samsung devices, or transparent navigation bar for those of us who hate gesture navigation.
