Go one better… You buy distinct clothes that stand out just for the shooting, then burn them after and go back to your normal clothes.

I mean, yeah…if nobody has ever seen you wear these clothes before, and you change immediately after the crime, and then drop the clothes in like 3 or 4 different dumpsters or trash cans in different places, how would they ever link it back to you? Especially if you buy all the clothes in different places, too, and pay with cash.

If you’ve ever had your dna or a family members dna put into a federal database (military, cops, prisoners) then they can track you via incidental dna recovered from the clothing.

Trash bag it up and toss it in general trash nowhere near the crime scene, preferably on a collection day. It could even be your personal trash. What are they gonna do, dragnet every pound of garbage disposal nationwide?

Well you are escaping so you’re going to ditch that clothing asap since it’s evidence of your wrongdoings. That means the cops only have to search the trash cans close to the area. Kind of like how they found the rifle close to the area.
