I have had such poor luck trying to post gifs on lemmy (aside from comments), but if anyone can nail down how to ensure it works every time, I’ll learn!
I don’t think anyone would have a problem with external hosting sites (catbox.moe, imgur, etc.). I do agree, though, posting a gif is problematic to do natively on Lemmy.
Replying again to let you know that I may have solved it. catbox.moe seems to be the way
