My favorite is frozen mango. I like to eat them as a quick cold snack straight from the freezer.
Another one is raw carrots with hummus as a dip.
Scatterbrained and friendly optimist. Always happy to give my (unasked for) opinion :)
Pardon my rambling and broken English, I know I often sound like an alien trying to impersonate a human being.

Good luck today! It sounds like you’ll have a busy day ahead of you. Hope you still get to enjoy today in some way though.
I’ve been off since Christmas and won’t start work until Monday. It’s coming out of my vacation days mostly, but I always end up having too many left over at the end of the year anyway.
My partner is also off, but they get a mandatory vacation between Christmas and new year, on top of the usual vacation days.

My surface pro from work has this, though I can’t say I’ve ever used it in all these years.

Oliebollen, and probably too many :)
Last year I had to stand in line for up to two hours to get a fresh batch on the 31st. Even appeared on local tv because of the huge line.
Not sure where and when I’m going to get this year’s batch, but I definitely don’t want to have a repeat of last year.

There’s no real consensus on it yet in Dutch, but the most common are either hen/hun or die/diens. Both are known words that can be repurposed, but both have some disadvantages when it comes to certain grammatical rules.
There’s also some initiatives on new words, but they haven’t really gotten much traction yet.
There’s a rather lengthy article here in Dutch that explains it in depth:

About 30 seconds. But in my defense, I was too lazy to zoom in on my phone, and I’m about to go to sleep, and it was a good illusion.
Cuddling with my partner in bed. Especially early in the morning, when I give myself an extra half hour to just stay close together for a little while longer.

We both use baby for each other.
Which sounds weird for some reason, when I write it down like this. Even though we’ve been using it for about 20 years now.
This has cursed written all over it.
I got engaged 🥰

You’re welcome :)

I really dislike clickbait headlines like these, it’s Austria if you’re wondering.
- Austria’s military has switched from Microsoft Office to LibreOffice.
- The move was all about digital sovereignty, not cost savings.
- Other governments are moving away from Microsoft to protect their citizens’ privacy.

I disagree, those bastards will find a way regardless.

Sure! It’s this one:

Of course windows is going to be replaced the moment it arrives :)

A small 8 inch laptop that can fit in my everyday bag. It hasn’t arrived yet, so I’m not sure if it’ll be worth it.
It’s my usual birthday purchase impulse, the one time I allow myself to splurge for something for no other reason than “I want” :)
I hope to use it to wean myself off of phone apps and have something that is more under my control while I’m outside.

I know around Europe there are some travel operators that offer passenger berths on commercial shipping lines. Maybe there are also some trans-Atlantic options?
You probably get a small room, and it’s not luxurious. But compared to the literal hundreds tons of cargo on board your carbon footprint is probably minuscule.
You also get a unique experience about life on board, so that’s worth something as well :)
I had an acquaintance who travelled from Amsterdam to Helsinki this way. She was very positive about the experience.
Though you will have to arrange two separate trips which might be a bit more complicated. Cargo vessels don’t stay in port long enough for you to enjoy a full vacation.
I don’t have a favorite but Error Detection by Nemophila is an often played song in my list right now.
Oh good, so it’s not just me :)
SJW seems to be having some problems I think.
I usually buy them pre-sliced in cubes, which is what makes it so convenient as a snack. You can just pop one in your mouth while they’re still frozen, just be careful with brain freeze :)
Alternatively you put them in a small bowl and eat them with a fork after they’ve thawed.
