  • Central to the case was the organisation’s longstanding slogan calling to “end one-party” system in China.

Hate articles that have a title as a question and you have to go dive for the answer

Apparently not related to the vigils?

Every June 4, crowds gathered in the city’s Victoria Park for a candlelight vigil commemorating those killed and demanding accountability from Beijing. At their height, the commemorations drew crowds numbering in the tens of thousands.

or they would put thousands on trials not just the two?

Not in your very first comment.

that other group of child killers and rapists

portrays them as both “a group of child killers and rapists” flattening the Donbas conflict and the palestinian genocide into an issue about some nebulous “child killers and rapists” and omits any structural, systemic or societal forces at play. It is not just a comparison it’s heavily implied that they are “equally bad”.

  • Yes… babies… known for drawing intelligible and not at all weird stuff lol

also the weird part is how the meaning of the symbol seems to be really obscure but also common enough to make it into unicode not the symbol itself. Hence my question about the meaning and not how to draw it…

out of curiosity what is the point of your comment? Like did you expect me to just say “oh yeah I guess it is very easy to draw and not weird at all, question answered thanks”?

  • The Taiwan justice ministry’s investigation bureau said in a statement that between July 13 and Aug. 4, 330 agents searched 64 locations and questioned 114 people in coordinated raids on Chinese firms suspected of illegally recruiting tech workers and operating unlicensed offices in Taiwan.

anything come of that or ?

“However, these industries have recently faced the problem of core high-tech talent being targeted and recruited away by Chinese companies, potentially eroding Taiwan’s key competitive advantages,” it added.

Have they tried being nicer to their laborers? I keep hearing bad stuff about TSMC like this: https://archive.is/iIfX5 no wonder they have huge brain drain.

  • You can read more about it in “socialism: utopian and scientific” by engels an eye-opening book to me. Really what made me fall in love with marxism. There’s also a really cool section about the “mark” at the end which isn’t that relevant to know really but I found it very interesting nonetheless. It’s a short book but well worth the read.

As for “work” I guess you can go with the physical definition of it, however since we are talking about society i went with a more common understanding of work as in energy spent to produce value. Making that concrete however gets us of course into the weeds of what value is, differences between use-value and exchange-value. So I just tried to sneak it past you 😅
