Fuck Cars@lemmy.world•Which American Cities Are Becoming Bike-Friendly the Fastest?English
5·6 months agoI honestly think NYC has done a terrific job getting more bike-friendly. There’s still much more to be done; but a lot of good progress has been made

Yeah; I think it’s the best case scenario that at least the data will be used to develop new drugs.

Comic Strips@lemmy.world•Top Ten Reasons Americans Want Enormous Cars
12·7 months agoYeah; I think economics is the real reason. Large trucks are massively subsidized (fuel, the truck itself, the insurance on it, and the cost to store it). Without these subsidies; they largely wouldn’t exist

yeah; I also use Pop!_OS and like it. I’m curious about the reasoning here
I actually think throwing a lot of money into a bike isn’t a bad idea. They easily last a life time; and if having a really nice bike incentives one to use it more; it’s totally worth it. Whatever it takes to keep you out of a car is good in my eyes
That’s not too shabby! What a cool thing
This is really cool! How long does it take to grind?

Fuck Cars@lemmy.world•Oxford Professor: Cycling is 10 times more important than electric cars for reaching net-zero citiesEnglish

I don’t think protected bike parking is too much of a hurdle. I also think the market for it will develop naturally; as more people use E-bikes.
I think E-Bikes are the answer. They are small, light, and safe like bikes; but can better accommodate running errands; when the errands are spread apart by miles.

Yeah; that makes sense, to me. Afterall, What’s the point of being rich if you can’t live where you want.
