What is the benifit of a book being digitized for only be used for one company training their “AI”. These digitized copies aren’t going to be made available to humans in any way because then the company would loose the advantage they have in training data.

Good job you agree with SKG. They have said over and over again that they do not think they should have to keep hosting servers indefinitely just not making the thing you spent money on unusable. Wether that be by giving the community server hosting software or in cases of games like the crew just not making single player online only.

Because they will get back pay for the work they have done till now and the job market is terrible so “knowing” you’ll eventually be paid at the end of the line is better than trying to look for a new job that will almost certainly pay less and be more laborious is a hard ask.

Its not, I was using it when I ran Gentoo, but its substantially more present if that makes sense. When I’m using systemd I don’t have to think about it when I’m configuring my system in normal circumstances but with openrc it’s always something that had to be accounted for.

One of my coworkers actually is former TSA that left after the last shutdown.

She was looking for a job longer than the shutdown was happening. The job market is rough and I genuinely can’t blame someone for sticking to something where they know they will at least be paid at the end of it as compared to job hunting where it can take months.
