Grapes of Wrath is a slight stretch, but it’s shear length relative to it’s message makes it a very empty book.

I wouldn’t say nothing burger, but they’ve definitely aged poorly.
It’s more than that. There’s also stalker fantasy and a ridiculously overpowered main character.
It also plausible they don’t even need to buy the expensive bits ahead of time. There’s a ton of downtime in these shows where they are shooting different scenes. There’s likely plenty of time to text a PA that’s already in the grocery store to buy the lobster or the filet while the elimination is being shot and next round prep is happening.
This is just small claims court. You can just leave and not pay for a month you aren’t there, I wouldn’t expect the security deposit back though.
Move out first, then if you don’t get the security deposit back, try small claims court. You have to decide if the deposit is worth the fight though. It’s around $250 to file and serve your landlord. Assuming you win, there’s no enforcement of them paying you. You would need to then take that order to another judge and likely provide details on how to get that money back to get an order that should eventually get that money back.
It’s a common fallacy to believe people that are doctors (or have a PhD) are really smart. They know one specific thing really well, anything outside of that one thing they are as smart as any random person.
Specifically for medical, there’s a few other reasons. Medical software is often garbage, a doctor’s day to day experience with computers is not great. This doesn’t make doctors want to learn more about computers. Doctors get trained by older doctors, so it’s going to take longer for those that aren’t hostile to computers to get into teaching and how to use computers in a beneficial way. This is just barely starting to happen, I doubt many teaching staffs are completely pro computer, but at least some are.
I agree nachos are generally awful. I still enjoy eating them 1-2 times a year though.
The public domain allows free use of anything in it. It allows people to innovate and expand upon established knowledge without having to pay tribute to original creators or their estates.
Intellectual property was created as a compromise to get people to be more open with their works. It allowed artists and writers to create things without risking their creations copied and losing their livelihood. Similarly inventors were also encouraged to publish how they invented because it granted them a period of exclusive access to controlling that method. In the long term the public benefits by getting access to everything.
All companies are tech companies, those that aren’t will be replaced by those that are. It’s been a common theme for a decade. I don’t really care that some venture capitalists lost their easy button to decide where to throw money for massive returns. Investing is supposed to require diligence.
He probably has a diaper and a catheter. The rules don’t let him sit or leave to use the bathroom.
If the Democrats actually wanted to be an opposition party he wouldn’t need to be speaking right now. At least some are supporting him.
It still costs more if you have significant scraps as that product is essentially processed twice. Even a half cent of extra cost per thousand bars gets significant.
The drippings from a turkey breast are pretty much just water. It doesn’t have the skin, fat, cartilage and bones that add a lot to a gravy.
Wild boars are an invasive species, they don’t have natural predators.
It’s really not, boars can breed multiple times per year, have litters between 2 and 12, and can breed as early as 6 months old.
It takes lots of effort to keep a population stable, actually eliminating them is very difficult.
I remember people talking about stories where someone got a great job because they happened to be a big guild leader and someone at the company was in the guild. It makes sense to me, just running a 10 man Kara with people that already knew what to do was exhausting.
Grand strategy games aren’t for me, but I love reading the insane stories from CKII and Dwarf Fortress.
Discovery sucks in the fediverse, so it causes a lot of fractured and spammed content until hopefully everyone migrates to a stable community. Otherwise everyone eventually leaves as there appears to be no interest in a topic due to the fragmentation.
The lab leak theory was dismissed because there was a lot of powerful people that didn’t want any serious investigation into it. China was 100% against the lab leak theory. Fauci and the CDC were also against the lab leak theory as he was directly responsible for funding gain of function research in the most likely lab, which had been widely criticised as extremely risky research.
It also makes an incredible conspiracy theory because it’s essentially impossible to prove either way at this point.
Monopolies are not the only thing that governments are supposed to prevent. Anti competitive practices are supposed to be illegal regardless of monopoly status. The same is true of cartel behavior.
