It doesn’t matter if Russians are posting online about how they are good Russians that don’t support Putin. The world doesn’t watch drones attack St Petersburg in Russia and ask how many critics of Putin were hurt vs supporters. The west largely simply supports Ukraine.

The same rules apply to Americans. It’s great that there are critics of Trump in the US. Apologies are not necessary nor welcome by Americans. Americans must focus on fixing their own community if they want to offer a genuine apology to the rest of the world. It’s not to drive them away, it’s to turn them back inward instead of them focusing outward.

I don’t recall ever seeing someone wearing a burka in my western country. I’ve seen some niqabs, hijabs. I don’t get bothered by seeing them. I know there are certain jobs where seeing the face is important, like verifying identity of someone with a passport or something.

I wonder what the process in South Carolina is to replace him. I believe he was up for re-election this November. Will his seat be filled temporarily by the governor? Will his name remain on the ballot? I believe he already won the Republican Primary election in South Carolina, so how will another Republican candidate run? Anyone here familiar with South Carolina elections?

I heard someone speak about surviving their suicide attempt, and being grateful that they survived. About being in able to get to a better place, and the suicidal ideation fading away. I wish everyone could find that clarity.
