Are you talking about the anime? Because I think any nerdy anime kid in their 30s would have watched that on adult swim.

News@lemmy.world•US appeals court kills ban on plastic containers contaminated with PFAS
7·2 年前Don’t want to be the bearer of bad news, but the US has still been using asbestos. Just this month they finally banned chrysotile asbestos which is still in use.
Make them the night before, freeze them, reheat the next morning. They’re still better than store bought frozen.
They acquired Alien Blue, but what they put out under “Reddit” was not Alien Blue in the least bit. They basically bought it to kill it. I had Alien Blue. :(
There’s a podcast called Jobsolete that covers, as the name implies, obsolete jobs! It’s inactive now but they have an ok size catalog that it’s worth going back and listening.
In my VERY limited experience, school libraries tend to be quiet/silent while public ones are more communal with varied loudness spaces. But a lot of people only experience school libraries.
I’ve caught myself doing it multiple times in one message before. 😔
Yeah I’ve literally never gotten an email from AliExpress over an order in my life lol. They don’t even email me confirmations or shipping notices. Which I like cuz then I just get a nice surprise 2-3 weeks later lol.
I viewed it as “play more versus sitting at a desk at work” sort of thing.
Idk, I think it depends on the type of show maybe? Or the presumed prestige of it. I feel like a lot of procedurals I’ve watched get better once they get their legs under them. They not bad in the beginning but once the characters have been established and the writers get the hang of doing crime/mysteries they get more fluid.

News@lemmy.world•Unionized Google workers learned their jobs were over while testifying to Austin City Council about why they need higher pay
1·2 年前Sorry, I wasn’t trying to dispute that anti-union had existed for decades. I was just trying to feel out why I’ve never heard people speak ill of unions or seen anti-union propaganda in my area. I don’t imagine we have a disproportionate amount of happy union workers to counteract the propaganda.

2·2 年前I wonder if it’s a regional thing? Growing up I never heard bad things about unions, and when I found out the job I’m currently in is union I was pretty happy. For the record I’m in my early 30s in the Midwest, which is not exactly widely liberal.

I had the same issue. (Or rather, cause of issues.) Some devices couldn’t identify it.

8·2 年前There are huge swaths of the US not covered. You could be driving between two cities less than an hour apart and hit dead zones.
That was only months before Twitter announced it would be slowly shutting it down in October. It was a last gasp, too little too late unfortunately. The article you posted even mentioned it was a reaction to creators posting “teasers” that lead watchers to other sites, where the creators were establishing, or had already established, a solid base.

It is a shame it’s fallen through the streaming cracks. I have the DVDs but that requires me plug in something that can play DVDs lol.
