Interesting. I have extremely poor working memory to the point that I sometimes question whether I have dementia, but extremely fast processing speed. This will lead me to speak extremely fast in order to catch up with my thoughts, stumble on my words, and then forget what I was talking about. Genius.

I have both the 'tism as well as severe ADHD, I’m on a really high dose of Vyvanse and Venlafaxine.

In general, I feel extremely dumb when it comes to social interactions. I don’t read between the lines, I don’t read body language, and I often struggle to understand anything that is slightly vague. I have to ask for “clear, direct” instructions at work and sometimes even that fails because an assumption was taken that I don’t hold, and thus cannot carry on processing what was communicated.

I’ve also been told that I inadvertently emit body language or vocal tone without realizing, which generally does not match how I feel, so it’s all accidental and meaningless. Allegedly I sound angry when I’m passionate, for example. Or I sound fake when I’m apologizing.

It’s just wild to me how much people with autism can sit at extremes of each other.

I’m waiting for battery technology to improve in terms of power density and for infrastructure to improve in terms of power delivery.

My situation is admittedly unique, I want a low slung comfortable hatchback, I street park, and I need a car that can do 6 hours of road in a single day with no prior planning.

Since I don’t have a house, I can’t charge at home for peanuts. I instead have to go fight for one of the two 7.5kW stations in my neighborhood and move my car as soon as it’s done charging or get a ticket.

There’s also only one 350kW station on my way to and from work, and last time I tried it with an IONIQ 5, it took 35 minutes to charge and it was in the middle of buttfuck nowhere at a closed Ford dealership. Work has chargers, but you have to share the output with everyone else so I only gained like 3%.

To top it all off, battery technology seems to be preventing good long range EV hatchbacks from taking off. I tried the IONIQ 6, and it felt like I was sitting on the floor, but elevated. Bizarre.

I’m the kind of 'tism where I can’t get myself to tell white lies and will argue up and down until the truth prevails… sometimes to my own detriment, but I really like to understand the underlying mechanisms and the nuance underneath things, otherwise I feel lied to, and I thusly can’t get myself to feel like I am deceiving others.
