Ahhhh that makes sense, I started learning basic in middle school to program games on my calculator, but never got very far into it.

Is ‘<>’ a lemmy thing? I’ve seen it used around here but personally I use =/=.

My biggest concern would be the zombies contaminating the water with whatever virus/poison/venom that makes zombies. Even if they’re visible, the moment they touch water, I’d already be scared to drink.

Eating it all at once, quickly; eating it slowly so it slides smoothly down the esophagus; chewing until your teeth are dull; sucking on it until the iron/nickel is drained from the geode; shall I go on? 👀

I’d do a lot of the same, but in different ways. I don’t want to mess up and miss out on my pets and all the other wonderful things that have happened to me, but I would try to live a better/less fucked life.
Try harder in school, achieve some modicum of success so I’m not such a loser, and fix my biggest, less consequential regrets. Nothing that would be life-changing, but would make me feel less guilty at least. I would do more to help the pets I couldn’t save (2 babies taken too soon) and I would try to just live more, and not be as much of a shut-in homebody.
Probably try not to become an alcoholic too.

Oh yeah I’ve seen it myself. I’d like to move up north to get ahead of it, but there’s national lines to get across and taking my pets would be difficult at best.
I’ve also been noticing that since I was a kid (90s/00s), back then there was a white winter every singe year in my area. Now we’re lucky if we get any snow at all during winter.
Then I’ll hear some rube say that ‘global warming isn’t real,’ like what bitch?! Have you not been paying attention?!

I remember The Day After Tomorrow, it was an okay film but it solidified in me the fear of climate change. The movie may not be scientifically accurate, mainly because they got the temperatures backwards. In the movie, the world froze starting at the poles. IRL, it’s going to boil and burn starting from the equator.

This is the right answer. Will you get looks? Probably. Will you be slightly embarrassed? At first certainly. Do the opinions of random passerbys matter to you? That’s the only question you should be concerned with. If it makes you feel good/pretty, that’s all that matters.

There’s also Jobless Reincarnation, which is the exact same pitch but he goes to a fantasy world instead of this one. As soon as he opens his eyes after birth, mom goes to nurse and he’s like, “oh yeah I get to sit back and suck tiddies for a while!”
Edit: but not how tomiant below describes it 👀

Maybe try ice water? I’m not much of a water person myself, but I love some cold ice water. Aside from that, my top 2 are tea/juice and Gatorade or similar.
Tea/juice is basically water with flavor. Gatorade/Powerade/similar are a great option cause it’ll hydrate you and the electrolytes are good for your gut bacteria.
Another idea is to just water down the things you already drink. For sodas I think it actually makes them taste better.

hahahahahahhaahhaaaa lmao

Unfortunately we didn’t have much say in the matter. The way Door Dash did it was pretty roundabout. Instead of making some deal with Dominos (at least, when I worked there), they just submitted the order through our website under either the driver’s name or the customers. I doubt any of them knew the areas.
But I do agree with you.

Former Dominos manager here. As another user said, distance is part of it.
Places usually don’t deliver outside of a certain distance for a couple of reasons, proximity to sister chains (one Dominos can’t deliver to another Dominos area), and delivery time. The further the customer is the longer it takes to get the food to the customer, and to get back and deliver more.
Another reason is particular area. At my Dominos we had a ‘do not deliver’ list. These were neighborhoods or parts of the city where there’s reason to not send drivers there for their safety. The projects/ghettos/whatever term you like, and other general areas where drivers have been robbed/threatened/etc. I heard one story about before I worked there, one of the drivers was held hostage.
Door Dash or similar may not care about those things for XYZ reason, and send their drivers there anyway.

Only if you actually burn it. Like with a fire.

Not arguing, but I don’t think I’ve ever even seen a plastic one. Mine has a plastic lid, but the inside is still sheet metal. I can’t even imagine one with plastic parts that aren’t just cosmetic. Plus they’ve got to adhere to some kind of safety regulations lest they be penalized by some federal agency. 🤔
I’ve always been dyslexic with lefts and rights, or perhaps their names? Even now I have to catch myself most of the time when I say the wrong one.
I’m a little bad with numbers, that got worse after a head injury, so now I frequently confuse 6s and 8s in addition to the usual ‘was it 2493 or 2349?’ kinda things. As long as I double check my numbers I can do math right, but if it’s just a number sequence, they get a little mixed up.
Mines very mild though, and I’ve met/seen people that take a solid minute or two to parse it when they’re corrected.
That could go either way. I’ve heard (from family or friends) of people that have it so severely, they can’t trust themselves enough to accurately read.
That said, it could also be an easy excuse to avoid trying, but ultimately without consulting or being diagnosed by an expert, you only have their word to go on as to the severity.
