Hunches and gut feelings. Dreams in waking life.
I organize the Eurovision Song Contest, but exclusive to Lemmy, it’s called Lemmyvision !

No Stupid Questions@lemmy.world•If online services (such as Netflix) only ever raise their prices, does that mean they offer less and less value for money as time passes?
2·11 天前I think it might fluctuate given that their catalog varies with new entries and shows no longer being available, so youd have to check every now and then and compare the size of libraries vs subscription price over time

No Stupid Questions@lemmy.world•Could we possibly create a new website/software combining mastodon and piefed ?
1·11 天前Oh alright, then I guess the most important thing would be to make sure it’s ActivityPub-compatible!

World News@lemmy.world•LinkedIn Is Illegally Searching Your ComputerEnglish
421·1 个月前it does NOT scan applications on your computer
technically browser extensions are considered applications under EU’s GDPR
It DOES scan which browser extensions you have running (if they affect page loading).
as per their report:
Why two detection methods
Method Technique What it catches AED fetch() against known resource paths Extensions that are merely installed, even if they inject nothing into the current page Spectroscopy Full DOM tree walk Extensions that actively modify the page, even if they are not in LinkedIn’s hardcoded list
Hey, checking the band out, they only just got big recently apparently so that’s good by me! Any of those two you send will be fine 😄

would make for a darker comic lmao
Yeah, the problem is that it’s had to convey the double meaning because “planter” is often used about an electronic device crashing, so it’s both windows crashed, and windows stood you up
You absolutely can, and if members of your instance would like to submit in another language, they can as well 🤗
With sausages (or plant based alternatives), potatoes, carrots, rice, classic cultural dish from my family, enjoy the constipation
No indeed, instead of being elected they get appointed as members of the government by Emmanuel Macron
Not to give excuses for people but it’s also perfectly reasonable to express concern for something that directly affects one’s daily life,
rather thanbefore an abstract system of domination.Moral evaluation is overridden when one’s purchasing power and thus livelihood is threatened. The Yellow Vests in France started because of a gas price hike, and then transformed into a political movement. The Boston Tea Party into the American Revolution. Police Corruption in Tunisia into the Arab Spring… It always starts with concrete issues and then expands in critic of the system.

Canada@lemmy.ca•"Lemmyvision 3 returns in April 2026, stay tuned for more information in the next few months!"
5·5 个月前Hey, I’m the one organising it, tldr it’s a song contest where instances of Lemmy nominate a song from their area of interest, then everybody votes for their favourite!
Longer version: some years ago on reddit, r/Europe was organising Eureddivision which is basically the Eurovision song contest but within reddit (countries subreddits nominate a song in their language(s)). I wanted Lemmy to have something similar, inviting Lemmy instances to participate ; “the aim is to promote different languages and cultures from around the world, to share more between our online communities across Lemmy, and discover songs from lesser known artists.” (that’s from the sidebar).
Its a bit different than Fedivision, that one has the fediverse submit songs they created, whereas in Lemmyvision, songs are from any artists

It’s not the subject of the post though, OP is sharing their conspiracy theory related to a privacy app
