Sorry for the late reply, it was a busy day. Anyway i heard some songs and i think i get the appeal of having songs that talk about specific topics that no regular musician would cover. The thing holding me back is that they don’t reach the level of detail and consistency that human artist can achieve, especially regarding instrumentals. Not for me but definetly worth a try

I would be curious about how today’s discovery is worse that the past, considering that you can access huge catalogues for free and that forums exist. And generalising all new music just doesn’t make sense to me, you should give it an honest try and maybe start enjoying music again
I admit that i am closer to the “AI bad” movement than not but curiosity wins anyway, i would be very happy to give it a try
Interesting, can’t say i do the same but I’m curious about what you like about it. I usually want to be surprised by the music that i listen to (in both a good and bad way), then use the albums as lockets with specific vibes/memories/styles which differ greatly from each other, and i feel like with AI i would lose it.
I absolutely love how you talk about music, and i 100% agree that when you find a good song you have to take your time to appreciate it
I worded it weirdly, art and content are basically the same thing, what changes is your perception of it, it’s up to you to decide if it’s something caring more about it, made by passionate people or just sound with cool patters that makes our brain feel good. (Maybe still a weird explanation)
Totally agree with the therapeutic function of music, hope you’re doing better <3
The more i think about it the more i realize that it’s actually a really weak assumption. It just felt weird to me that you could have a routine that didn’t include music in it, totally mb

No Stupid Questions@lemmy.world•How many virtual machines can you nest?
2·28 days agoUnfortunately i don’t think my little laptop could handle more than 2, maybe 3 layers deep, making my efforts of little relevance to an actual study about the problem

Ask Lemmy@lemmy.world•What's the most impressive video game mod you've ever come across?
7·1 month agoStrawberry jam for celeste. It’s a huge collaborative project that introduces 100+ levels (base game has 25) with a really wide range of difficulties, graphical styles, new mechanics, original music and ideas on par with the quality from the base game. Definitely a must play if you like 2d platformers
You could try lunacid, it’s not old but definitely old style.
I love learning how things work. Disassembling laptops is extremely stressful the first time (especially if it’s your only pc) but it becomes fun when your realize that they’re (usually) meant to be opened; it becomes stressful when you open items that aren’t supposed to be, like anything that uses glue as a build material. It also helps seeing things less like a magic box and more like a logic interaction between things, meaning i learn how to use them the right way. And congratulations for fixing your laptop, it always seems harder that it actually is
Disassembling stuff. Usually electronics but also items with cool mechanisms like a clock

Ask Lemmy@lemmy.world•What was the hardest video game boss for you?
3·10 months agoThe spoiler boss in dead cells.
The boss is not particularly hard but you can only face him after a full run on the max difficulty where you will likely use most of your very limited resources before the bossfight, meaning you can only take a couple hits (at best) before dying.

Asklemmy@lemmy.ml•What video game are you waiting to see a new sequel for?
2·11 months agoA new redout game that is capable of mantaining a community would be great.
I think fighting games would make a good community, maybe with friendly tournaments organized regularly. The free ones that i know of are the hololive one (idol showdown) from steam and the emulated arcade titles from fightcade.

i fucking LOVE music, love discovering weird genres, small artists, songs with a strong idea behind it even if they are badly produced. I always search new ways to enjoy the music that i already like for example rythm games; after playing osu i started tapping in sync and vibing with songs even if they’re from a random speaker on the street. Lately i’ve been obsessed with sleep token, to the point that people on the train think i’m crazy because when that part from Gethsemane starts playing i MUST headbang it.
And the reason why i made this post is because i often feel like i’m the only person that actually cares about the music they’re listening to
