Objectivity and clarity of mind is more important than farming outrage. This anger, if it’s real. Only serves to make everyone more divided and hateful. Injustice is part of the world we live in and I hope that you can find a way to acknowledge it without letting yourself be consumed by blind rage.
One doesn’t kill a leopard by hating it. You need clarity of purpose and strength of body.

I watched the same video you did. How the agent ended up in front of her car isn’t relevant to his action while he was there. She was stopped sideways in the middle of the road. At the time it seemed like he was trying to perform some kind of flanking move…poorly. when her car starts moving he is directly in front of it. I grant that he shouldnt have drawn hus weapon. I grant that they could have gone around her without leaving the car. But in that moment, when he actually shot. He was in front of a moving vehicle (that was turning) and he panicked. They’re just as enraged and manipulated as we are. I don’t think we was scared for his life but I do think he was hopped up on social media and adrenaline and put himself in the position he was in.

I’m ready to get down voted or moderated for this but the moment between the first shot and the car turning out of alignment with the agent is pretty tight.
And while I agree that her death is a tradgey, and I disagree with ICE action in general, this is not the clear moment of injustice that the comments and viral videos would have you believe it to be.
This was an officer, likely on edge, acting in a moment of adrenaline and stupidity.
Much of what I have read would have you believe that he shot her while she was idling at the side of the road.
I am not taking a definite side with ICE.
When you stand up to violence you should expect violence. That is all.
Can confirm. I’ve tuned it out. I can’t anymore. I’m sorry. I choose happiness. It’s pushing me further and further offline.
Realistically…not until the country over steps and triggers a world war. This stuff is bad, and it parallels the 30s but it’s not AS bad as the 30s. Even with all the cameras of today the riots, protests, and actions don’t come close to back then. Not even the 90s. We’re all being told it’s bad…and…it is… but it’s magnitude isn’t near what it had been in the past. There’s a banality to it all.
When will the nazis get killed? When we’re a few years into a bloody war that has encroachment on US soil. shrug
In the 2016 show 11.22.63, Jake Epping, a recently divorced English teacher from Maine discovers that his friend’s diner had a portal that allows him to travel back to 1963.
Jake uses this portal to travel back in time to try to save Kenedy from being assassinated. His friend had done the same, though it was stated in passing that he also used it to by meat on the cheap for his burgers at the diner.
This is to say that the diner owner had it right. Fuck Kennedy, I’m getting those 1963 groceries with the good fats.
I mention it to my friends and family every chance I get. I try to explain that the digital walls they’re building aren’t going to keep us safe but I’m always met with tired indifference.
