Not really. The EU has many representative democracies. Not every country here is cut from the same cloth, with better or worse representation for multitudes of political idealogies. But there is still significantly better representation than the US.

The mentality that allows someone to get rich like that (besides copious amounts of sheer luck) is incompatible with the needs of the many. If they’re “on your side” they have a personal agenda to get out on top over their competition. You are a tool for them to exploit to ensure their infinite growth.
