Text !
Text has been pretty good for me I would say,. Before, I was using a site like you to track stuff, but after a website outage that had lasted months and me thinking I had lost everything made me swear to only use local solutions from then on.
I have made myself a sort of format in plain text track TV shows and other stuff. Obviously, It doesn’t have all the bells and whistles that the programs you are mentioning have, but it’s very flexible and I use it to track every type of entertainment that I consume (movie, books, games,…).
Mine is a bit flawed in some ways but advantageous in others. Basically just a table of one entry per line with columna for name, my score, date, progress, status (completed, watch/reading, dropped) and comments. Since they are just simple files I can sync them between my devices with syncthing, and edit them with anything that has a text editor.
If there is some new stat I want to track I can just add a column myself. Also have made some scripts to filter and sort enteies. (a bit unhinged)

Depends heavily on use. If it’s only for completion or for tedious tasks or for ideas, then yeah it’s fine. But if it’s a fully vibe-coded app it brings into question wether the author has the skill to maintain and keep developing the project.
That’s why it should be asked, or even better, just answered in the README.

Material Files because of its general design and the quick access to bookmarks and other things in its sidebar accessible through a simple swipe.

I have never seen a FOSS Launcher that interests me as much as the default ones on ROMs like LineageOS or GrapheneOS.
I always find them visually outdated or functionally not as good. And I’m not interested in the minimal ones (which is a good part of them).

It’s not an automatic system. It’s a database of user subtimitted timestamps. But it’s pretty popular they get added pretty fast on most videos but the smallest channels. The browser plugin has submission tools to allow you to submit the different segments.

Just seems a little too light on added features for a whole fork. Maybe if the forker does as he says and implements other rejected features it might be worth it. Depending on what those features are.
Good luck to him.

In the magic 2.0 series of books, even though it’s not really a rule imposed by the universe or anything.
The characters like to use Esperanto for their spell/program names.

I personally prefer lf over nnn

This is very useful software, I recommend it a lot !

It basically allows you to define which paths are used for the Downloads, Documents, Videos, etc… types of directories.

Shouldn’t that be a subdirectory under the documents folder ?

Honestly it’s a pretty good way of compartmentalizing projects in your mind.
You usually remember pretty well what language your wrote a project in.
And if you want to find a project again you just have to look in that language’s directory.
Second advantage is that if there’s a language you only fucked around a little for fun, it doesn’t clutter the directories of your most used languages.
It’s the same in France at least

Based on the screenshot, a critique I would have is how much space is used/wasted per service.
Each card takes a lot of space, not only the padding around the icon + card, but also padding around the name and subtitle. And on top of that the big “More” button.
It does look good, but yeah.

Small advice, uBlock origin already does what NoScript can do and more. And privacy badger should not be used.
NoScript: Redundant with uBlock Origin
Privacy Badger: no longer uses heuristics by default, and enabling it makes you easily detected
Got this info from the ArkenFox Github

His main point wasn’t private tabs, it was firefox containers. He only mentioned private tabs for deleteting cookies after closing those tabs.
Temporary Containers was really good for that, but it hasn’t been updated in years.
