Suppose that at a given moment a certain number of people are engaged in the manufacture of pins. They make as many pins as the world needs, working (say) eight hours a day. Someone makes an invention by which the same number of men can make twice as many pins as before. But the world does not need twice as many pins: pins are already so cheap that hardly any more will be bought at a lower price. In a sensible world everybody concerned in the manufacture of pins would take to working four hours instead of eight, and everything else would go on as before. But in the actual world this would be thought demoralizing. The men still work eight hours, there are too many pins, some employers go bankrupt, and half the men previously concerned in making pins are thrown out of work. There is, in the end, just as much leisure as on the other plan, but half the men are totally idle while half are still overworked. In this way it is insured that the unavoidable leisure shall cause misery all round instead of being a universal source of happiness. Can anything more insane be imagined?
–Bertrand Russell, In Praise of Idleness, 1932

It’s really fucking difficult to accept that the same guy drew both of these cartoons.
New Kid on the Block (1992)
Lionel Hutz: Mrs. Simpson, what did you and your husband do after you were ejected from the restaurant.
Marge: We… pretty much went straight home.
Lionel Hutz: Mrs. Simpson, you’re under oath.
Marge: We drove around until 3 AM looking for another all-you-can-eat fish restaurant.
Lionel Hutz: And when you couldn’t find one?
Marge: We went… fishing.

Okay, how about a compromise: I’ll agree to build a monument to him after he’s gone, but he has to go AS SOON AS IS PHYSICALLY POSSIBLE.

Cold America, Hot America, Desert America, Rude America, Posh America, Crowded America, Island America, etc.

That means there’s all the more wilderness area to retreat and disappear into.

Population of Iraq: 48 million
Population of Canada: 41 million
Area of Iraq: 438,000 km²
Area of Canada: 9.98 million km²
US-Iraq Border: 0 km
US-Canada Border: 8,900 km
A US invasion of Canada would make Iraq look like a pleasant afternoon picnic in the park.

Which would suggest that Trump’s actual mental decline is far worse than his public presentation implies.

Fortunately, thanks to the power of denial, I’ll be able to stay young forever!

He’s more high fructose corn syrup now than tomato, twisted and evil.

Yyyeah…
I recall printed MapQuest directions from North Carolina to Vermont trying to send me on surface streets through the middle of Washington DC in the middle of the night, and I didn’t really love that as an inexperienced college student. But I’m sure they’ve improved since then.
I’ve got a concept for a wrestling tag team of a couple of black-hat villains who escaped from a silent movie. They wear old-timey muscle man singlets under swooshy blacks capes, have handlebar mustaches, work out with spherical dumbbells, and they’re always tying people to train tracks or saw mill logs and trying to steal the deed to wrestling.
So probably like silent movie piano jazz.

Don’t forget gutting the public education system (a process that was made easier by leveraging unchecked racism).
