59·1 day agoIt’s really sad to see the BBC reduced to a mouthpiece for those in power. Older people will remember that it wasn’t always that way.
A former staffer made claims of sexual harassment. It is unclear how substantiated those were, but i guess there was something going on. Since then they made a very heavily publicised effort to do better, but it’s obviously hard to tell from the outside if that resulted in real changes.

92·3 days agoThat’s beside the point. Those are existential problems for the country and it’s his fucking job to do something about it. Obviously there are no short term fixes but that just makes it more important to at least get started.

I also believe this is just a series of fortuitous accidents.
